Neva – Fast Fit, Hardcore

Neva was one of the first FastFitters and is now teaching others how to be strong.  She teaches Circuits as well as trains in addition to showing off her country moves on Mondays with Angela.


Emily – Owner – Personal Trainer, Nutrition Specialist, Group Fitness

After 8 years of foster care and in home daycare, Emily Balow discovered her love for fitness in her spare time.  Stumbling upon Dragonfly was unplanned but not regretted and the best career decision she has ever made. Emily is fun and motivating. Join one of her low pressure, anything goes classes, you won’t regret it.

Zumba is a Latin based, shake your booty aerobic workout, that everyone must try ! This is the most fun you will ever have getting in shape no matter what your level of dance is. Shake your way to better health, more energy and a smaller dress size.

Circuits is a higher intensity class that you can ease into. You will be introduced to weights, cardio, plyometrics and calisthenics.  Don’t be intimidated! You’ll love the results

Hip Hop Fit is Emily’s creation of today’s hits with choreographed toning songs.  Less dancing, more toning!

Abs on Fire is 30 minutes of high intensity core work.

We belly dance for different reasons, come find out why you should too!

Level 1 (Foundational) American Tribal Style® (ATS®) covers the fundamental moves of ATS® belly dance; cycling through 3 weeks of technique, 1 week of dance, repeat. Two sessions of 4-weeks covers all of the basics. After one full consecutive session, you may be ready and interested in the Drills/Flow class to build up your dance repertoire. After one more session, consider if you’d like to layer on advanced classes, Level 2.

Dance Drills/Flow
Technique and Dance Language are two equally important components, relevant in order to effectively dance American Tribal Style® improvisational belly dance. This 30-minute class provides a chance to tune into dance while tuning out the world and to dance without interruption for stamina and automation of technique.

Advanced ATS® Belly Dance – Level 2
Build on the basics of American Tribal Style® belly dance with layered movement technique and combinations, along with additional zil patterns. Four sessions of 4-weeks provides access to numerous various of the basic movements.

Lasa Anahata Tribal Instructors are FatChanceBellyDance® General Skills and Sister Studio certified and continue their education yearly.

Kimberley – AMPD Kettlebell

AMPD Kettlebell $5

Certified AMPD Kettlebell instructor, Kimberley Winkelmann has had a passion for fitness most of her life. Growing up, and through her 20’s and 30’s, most of her physical activities consisted of running. A few years ago, she felt that she was no longer managing to make any progress towards her fitness goals. She was introduced to the Fast Fit program at Dragonfly Dance and Wellness by a friend. This program was the stepping stone that she needed.

Kim still runs upon occasion, but also enjoys Circuit Training, Cross-fit, Boot Camp, and especially Kettlebell. Kim works at a local elementary school and is currently pursuing her AFAA Group Exercise Fitness Instructor Certification. In her free time enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

– Kettlebell AMPD takes heart-pumping music and your favorite kettlebell moves and combines them into 45 minutes of calorie-torching fun! This whole-body workout emphasizes group fitness and focuses on specific areas such as arms, legs, core, and cardio. Each song concentrates on a main area, while still maintaining a whole-body routine.

Missy – AMPD Kettlebell

Missy started her fitness journey eight years ago after giving birth to her second child. After she took her first Zumba class she fell in love and decided to get certified to teach it adding both Zumba Gold and Aqua Zumba shortly after. Missy is also a NETA Certified Personal Trainer, an ACE Certified Health Coach, Kettlebell AMPD Instructor, and is currently working on her Mind/Body Certification through ACE as well.

Steph – TurboKick

Stephanie got addicted to TurboKick classes in college back in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. When she moved to Eau Claire and had trouble finding Turbo classes she decided to get certified and share the Turbo love with her friends here.

Get hooked on the Turbo high! With cardio kickboxing and body-sculpting dance moves choreographed to the hottest music mixes, you’ll get lean and toned—and have a blast doing it! It’s high intensity offered with options for low-impact, so no matter your fitness level, Turbo is fast-paced, and totally addicting!




Sarah – Piyo

PIYO, Thursdays 6pm , $5

Sarah started her fitness journey about 2 years ago. After struggling with her weight she finally got determined and lost a total of 41 lbs! Once the weight was off it was time to get strong. PiYo! It was the perfect fit. Using your own body to gain strength and flexibility. After taking the classes for about a year she decided to dive head first into teaching! She wants to help others realize what they are capable of and guide them on their journey. She is PiYo Live certified as well as a certified Group Fitness Instructor. 

Michelle – Poles

Level 1 & 2 Certified

Michelle isn’t new to Dragonfly, she has been with us since the beginning (August 2013).

Michelle Anthony draws from her years of experience in teaching yoga, Acro, and Aerials to bring you a safe and informed approach to pole classes. She is an expert in guiding students to move beyond their comfort zones and explore what is possible with the right amount of preparation and support. Michelle will encourage you to explore the depths of your authentic and sexy self through integrative pole classes.

Kerri – Poles

Meet Kerri!

Kerri has been an integral part of the Chippewa Valley flow arts scene as a founding member of the Torch Sisters, a local performance troupe. Kerri enjoys teaching and performing Acro yoga, hooping, aerials and most recently pole! Kerri will encourage you to try new things and feel sexy in your own skin while having fun and building some super-rad, gorgeous biceps.

Michelle B. – Poles

Low impact, High Fun! Level 1 & 2 Certified
Michelle B. is passionate about helping people discover alternative ways of being active that are fun, playful, and unique. She believes that fitness should not feel like a chore, but rather a way to incorporate movement into your life that leaves you feeling excited, strong, and confident! This passion comes from several years of personally discovering happiness through alternative fitness practices such as hula-hoop dance, acrobatic yoga, rock climbing, aerial arts, fire dancing, and pole. Michelle is so excited to be able to create a safe and inclusive space in Eau Claire for women to come and explore their inner confidence and strength through this empowering form of alternative fitness.

Meet Rachel!

Rachel Duffenbach is passionate about health, fitness, and body positivity. Rachel has been performing with local performance troupe, the Torch Sisters, for a year. When she isn’t working her full-time office job, she loves to spend her free time hooping, practicing yoga, acro, and aerials. She truly believes that pole dancing will make you fall in love with what your body is capable of and she can’t wait to see you in class!
