Emily – Owner – Personal Trainer, Nutrition Specialist, Group Fitness

After 8 years of foster care and in home daycare, Emily Balow discovered her love for fitness in her spare time.  Stumbling upon Dragonfly was unplanned but not regretted and the best career decision she has ever made. Emily is fun and motivating. Join one of her low pressure, anything goes classes, you won’t regret it.

Zumba is a Latin based, shake your booty aerobic workout, that everyone must try ! This is the most fun you will ever have getting in shape no matter what your level of dance is. Shake your way to better health, more energy and a smaller dress size.

Circuits is a higher intensity class that you can ease into. You will be introduced to weights, cardio, plyometrics and calisthenics.  Don’t be intimidated! You’ll love the results

Hip Hop Fit is Emily’s creation of today’s hits with choreographed toning songs.  Less dancing, more toning!

Abs on Fire is 30 minutes of high intensity core work.

Katy – Swole-Mates, FastFit Sub

Swole-Mates – FF Sub

Katy is a star Fast Fit students who has lost 100lbs and learned it a ton on her journey. She is always the first to grab heavier weights and can help you reach your goals.

Neva – Fast Fit, Hardcore

Neva was one of the first FastFitters and is now teaching others how to be strong.  She teaches Circuits as well as trains in addition to showing off her country moves on Mondays with Angela.

Steph – TurboKick

Stephanie got addicted to TurboKick classes in college back in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. When she moved to Eau Claire and had trouble finding Turbo classes she decided to get certified and share the Turbo love with her friends here.

Get hooked on the Turbo high! With cardio kickboxing and body-sculpting dance moves choreographed to the hottest music mixes, you’ll get lean and toned—and have a blast doing it! It’s high intensity offered with options for low-impact, so no matter your fitness level, Turbo is fast-paced, and totally addicting!

 

 

 

Kristen – Zumba

Kristen has been dancing to the Zumba beat since 2011 and is excited to be a new licensed Zumba instructor as of 2019! Kristen’s favorite part of Zumba is that it is exercise in disguise and that students can start with any level of experience. By the time they’ve moved to each class’s Latin and world rhythms, students often forget that they’ve gotten a total workout combining cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility! When she is not teaching Zumba, Kristen enjoys podcasting about science and participating in community theatre.

Julie – Zumba

Julie is the new kid in town! She recently moved to Eau Claire from Lincoln, Nebraska. She’s been teaching Zumba for four years and is licensed in Zumba and Zumba Gold. She offers high energy workouts with easy-to-follow movements. She strongly believes that exercise should be FUN, and she structures her classes that way. Outside of the studio, you can find her exploring Wisconsin and spending time with her husband and six children.

Stacey

 “I have been a group fitness instructor for over 25 years and I love it! I have taught a variety of classes but my true passion has always been strength training involving weights and resistance.”

Stacey will be teaching Strength and Conditioning. She will also be a sub for our Fast Fit program!

Cheyanne – Poles

Cheyanne is a Chippewa Falls native and has been doing pole for 2.5 years. She loves organic movement and moving whatever way feels good, which looks different on every body. She believes workouts should be creative, different every time while coming back to the core movements and having a blast with friends. She will work on pole basics, with emphasis on strength training. Cheyanne hopes to see you soon for a sexy, artistic, ass kicking workout!

Troy LaBair – Lifting

Troy came to Fast Fit as a client and rediscovered his affinity for heavy lifting after loosing 25lbs. He has a goal-oriented approach, so come to his classes ready to make gains.

He also doesn’t care about music so make sure to pick your favorite, otherwise you may get stuck listening to a presidential biography.

Mi – POP Pilates

Mi moved to the US when she was 18, lived in California for 8 years for college, got a degree in Athletic Training and moved to Eau Claire about 2 years ago. Since she is really into the human body and how it works, she also got a certification in Personal Training so that she can help people move better and be more confident in their body. Mi has followed POP Pilates for 6 years and recently became a POP instructor. POP was the start of her fitness journey.

POP pilates is an upbeat, choreographed pilates class where you move to the beat of the music and have a blast. A fun way to get in shape.

Wendy Nelson | Yoga

Wendy first found yoga right here at Dragonfly by attending her first class with Wendy Oberg in 2016. She fell in love!. As she learned more and deepened her practice she realized she wanted to teach (which came naturally as she is a teacher by training)She received her RYT-200 from The Yoga Center of Minneapolis in March of 2018 and loves to share yoga with everyone. Currently, her focus is making yoga accessible to ALL body types and teaching mostly slow flow classes. Along with yoga, Wendy also teaches chemistry at Elk Mound High School and loves to spend time with her two daughters.

Michelle – Poles

Michelle isn’t new to Dragonfly, she has been with us since the beginning (August 2013).

Michelle Anthony draws from her years of experience in teaching yoga, Acro, and Aerials to bring you a safe and informed approach to pole classes. She is an expert in guiding students to move beyond their comfort zones and explore what is possible with the right amount of preparation and support. Michelle will encourage you to explore the depths of your authentic and sexy self through integrative pole classes.

Kerri – Poles

Meet Kerri!

Kerri has been an integral part of the Chippewa Valley flow arts scene as a founding member of the Torch Sisters, a local performance troupe. Kerri enjoys teaching and performing Acro yoga, hooping, aerials and most recently pole! Kerri will encourage you to try new things and feel sexy in your own skin while having fun and building some super-rad, gorgeous biceps.

Rachel – Poles

Rachel Duffenbach is passionate about health, fitness, and body positivity. Rachel has been performing with local performance troupe, the Torch Sisters, for a year. When she isn’t working her full-time office job, she loves to spend her free time hooping, practicing yoga, acro, and aerials. She truly believes that pole dancing will make you fall in love with what your body is capable of and she can’t wait to see you in class!
